That’s a Big Box
We got a big box from our friends at 45 Drives. And in that box was a massive NAS to help us out at the new Geek House!
When we announced the news about buying our new building, the guys at 45 Drives amazed us by stepping up with an awesome housewarming gift – a NAS with a huge amount of storage for our data center (which we’ll REALLY need).
This is the most recent version of their Backblaze 4.0 storage pod, and as the company name suggests, it’s got room for 45 drives inside it .
You’ll be hearing a lot more from us about this monster NAS as we install it and begin to use it, but for now, here’s the spec sheet…
Storinator Direct Wired: Redundant Version
The Storinator Direct-Wired Redundant pod captures the essence of the next evolution in large storage solutions; incorporating a 2+1 Redundant power supply and redundant boot drives. Designed for mission critical applications, this system can withstand the failure of a power supply module and a boot drive without missing a beat. Simply hot swap replacements to restore redundancy without downtime.
